just a quick shout out before I leave for our short getaway with our bffs!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! words cannot explain how much I loved my make up and you! Loved the day one A LOT because it was so light and natural and glowy (although I only had 3 hours of snooze!). People were telling me how good I looked, I told them it’s the make up by Cleo!

Can’t wait to get hold of the official piccies so I can send you some. gonna attach some pre wed pics now, I hope they’re okay because I don’t know how to choose. just tell me if you need more?

Because I live in Australia, I had to look on the internet for possible makeup artists for my wedding in Singapore. I was very fussy, and finally decided on Cleo after getting a recommendation from a friend and looking at Cleo’s work online. Cleo was able to look at my physical features and face shape from photographs, as well as accommodate my preferences (general look/ dress colour and theme) to develop a look that I was comfortable with for my wedding day. I thought I was happy with my choices, but Cleo blew me away on the actual day by making me look way more amazing that I had ever imagined or even asked for. My make up was natural, yet bold and brought out my personality in a way I was comfortable with. My hair was carefully managed so that it looked stylish and well done up but not sprayed at all. Cleo takes so much pride in her work, and has a tasteful eye that can make any bride glow with a subtle elegance yet still stand out in the crowd. I had many comments that my hair and make up were amazing on the day and have not hesitated to recommend her to as many other people as I can. Cleo was friendly and professional and I truly admire and am grateful for the personal touch in her work which shows her desire for excellence and beauty. She is also quite the budding photographer. Thank you Cleo. I look back on my photographs and I know you were the best person for the job.

When i first decided on an ala carte bridal package, Dot highly recommended Cleo. Since Dot was full of praises for Cleo and i liked the “natural” looks that she so skillfully did from the portfolios, I went straight to Cleo. And I’m glad I did. She gave me advice based on pictures I had sent her and she was also open to hearing my opinions. I’m very thankful that she executed the vintage styles i desired so well! Hi Cleo, Cleo was my makeup artist for my pre-wedding shoot last October 2010 and she did a great job! All of my friends were impressed with the hairdo and make up that she did for me! The make up was natural and yet gorgeous! Love the way she set my hair and also how she set my make up foundation using different tones to match my skin colour and bring out my best features!! Not to mention the discussions we had before the make up day, we communicated through mails about the different hairdos and makeup that is suitable for me! That is what I call professional service! I engaged Cleo for my pre-wedding shoot and second march-in makeup & hairstyle. Cleo also did the makeup & hairstyle for my two mums as well as my sister-in-law. She had been wonderful in terms of both skill and attention to details. She checked with the brides on the kind of hairstyle and makeup they prefer before the actual occassion. Cleo also did a marvellous job for both my mums’ makeup as we received lots of compliment from the guests. On the contrary, my make-up artist from my bridal shop did an average job for my 1st march-in and it was Cleo who helped touch up to make me look much more pleasant. My guest also preferred my 2nd march-in makeup and hairstyle done by Cleo. I truly regretted not engaging her for my morning tea ceremony and 1st march-in. I will definitely use her again for any future occasions/functions. Have fun revamping your website and blog.

My wedding was in October 2010, and we were taking our pre-wedding portraits in June by a good friend of ours, who suggested I approach Cleo to do my hair and make-up for the shoot. Cleo was fantastic from the get-go, and even during the trial session, she was really meticulous not just with the make-up, but skin care as well. What I loved most about her work was that with make-up on, I still looked like me, but just an enhanced version of me! Needless to say, the photos looked fabulous with Cleo’s make-up artistry. So fabulous, that I regretted signing a package with my bridal salon and wanted to engage Cleo for my actual day make-up instead. To my dismay she was already booked! The husband and I were to have another round of photos taken on the afternoon of our wedding reception, which was on the day after the ceremony, on the grounds of Raffles Hotel. Thankfully, Cleo was free that afternoon. This time she suggested a less traditional look for me, and again it was flawless. It was so good, in fact, that I cancelled the appointment with my bridal salon artist (who was supposed to do my hair and make-up for the reception), and I just attended the reception with Cleo’s work. And it lasted All. Night. Long. I barely even had to touch up, which is really a testament to the quality of Cleo’s work. Her extensive research on skincare and make-up products as well as her insistence on using only the best for her brides sure paid off. I received tons of compliments on how soft and romantic my hair looked (a friend even asked to TOUCH my hair to be sure), and how well it stayed through the night. I guess everyone is generally more used to the ‘helmet’ of hairspray that is so commonly associated with most other stylists’ work. In fact, I had that very ‘helmet’ on the day of my ceremony, and sadly, the pictures showed as much. So yes, I’ve had a taste of the good and the not so good. I’m just glad that I managed to salvage at least half of my wedding weekend’s pictures, all thanks to Cleo. =)

I didn’t want to be just another bride for a MUA who painted every face the same way. I felt that you took on each assignment with your heart in it. So that was what made me decide to do a trial with you.
